V60 Guide
Clean, bright pour-over recipe for a single cup with the V60.
The V60 produces a bright, clean cup. A medium-fine grind highlights the origin's flavors.
Recipe:
22 g of coffee (medium-fine, like granulated sugar), 330 g of water. Total brew time: ~2:30 min.
Preheat:
Place the filter in the V60. Pour hot water (92-96°C) to rinse the filter and warm the dripper. Discard the water.
Prepare the coffee:
Measure 22 g. Grind medium-fine. Add to the filter. Form an even, inverted-cone shape.
Bloom:
Zero out the scale, start the timer. Pour 30 g of water from the center outward to wet all the coffee evenly.
Main pour:
At 0:30, pour the remaining 300 g in a slow spiral — from the center outward, without touching the filter walls. Keep the water level about 5 cm from the rim.
Finish:
Finish pouring at 2:00. Let it drain for the remaining 30 seconds.
Serve:
Remove the filter. Serve immediately.
Notes:
Water at 92-96°C for greater clarity.
Pour in a steady spiral to avoid channeling.
An even bed = even extraction.
Adjust ratios and timing to suit your coffee and taste.
