Drip (pour-over) makes clean, bright coffee. Use any dripper size. Coarse grind highlights origin flavors.

Recipe:

  • 6g coffee per 100ml water (adjust to taste). Water 92-96°C. Total brew ~2:30-3:00.

Best coffee:

  • Light-roast single-origin with fruity or floral notes. Central/South America or Africa work well.

Recipe:

  1. Prepare dripper:

Place filter in dripper over mug. Pour hot water through to rinse filter and preheat. Discard water.

  2. Add coffee:

Measure coffee. Grind coarse (like sand).

  3. Add to filter.

    Level evenly.

  4. Bloom: Zero scale, start timer.

  5. Pour ~1x coffee weight water from center outward to wet all grounds.

  6. Main pour:

At 0:30 min, pour remaining water in steady spiral. Avoid filter walls. Keep water level consistent.

  7. Finish:

Complete pour by 2:30-3:00 min. Let drip fully.

  8. Serve:

    Remove filter. Pour immediately.

Notes:

  • Coarse grind prevents bitterness.

  • Gooseneck kettle helps control pour.

  • Dripper material (plastic, ceramic, glass) doesn't change taste much. Match size to batch.

Adjust ratios and timing to match your coffee and taste.
