The AeroPress makes a clean cup quickly. It works for filter coffee, espresso-style shots, or cold brew. Use it anywhere.

Standard Method
Recipe: 15g coffee (medium grind), 225ml water off boil
Time: 1:30
Rinse chamber and plunger with hot water. Flush filter in cap.
Add coffee to chamber on mug. Attach filter cap.
Pour all water fast. Stir 3x. Add plunger lightly for seal.
At 1:00, remove plunger, stir 3x.
Replace plunger, press gently to 1:30 total.
Expect sweet, fruity notes with medium body.
Inverted Method
Recipe: 30g coffee (coarse grind), 120ml water at 93°C + 120ml dilution water
Time: 2:15
Rinse chamber. Flush 2 filters in cap.
Seal plunger into chamber. Flip, add coffee.
Add 120g water slow. Stir 30s to wet all grounds.
Screw on filter cap. Press out air.
Flip onto mug. Wait 45s.
Press 30s (yields 80g concentrate). Dilute with 120ml hot water. Pour between vessels to cool to 60°C.
Troubleshooting
Leaks: Clean residue. Replace seal if worn.
Hard to press: Use coarser grind. Loosen cap slightly.
Side spray: Press slower, coarser grind, or use forearm.
Weak: Finer grind or more coffee.
Bitter: Cooler water (85-95°C), shorter time.
Tips over: Flat surface, heavy mug.
Experiment to find your ratio and timing.
